Misty mountains laugh
Fools travel across the sea
You are screwed, go home.
I was asked to commemorate this weekend's race with another haiku:
Swifter than the wind
Victory within his grasp

MTM sells off equipment to Western Michigan Region
After the Winter MTM party, it was
decided to keep the equipment at Grattan, and MTM sent letters to the
affected regions stating we had no provision to move equipment anymore
(i.e. no volunteer). WMR in turn stated they wanted the equipment out of
their storage space under those circumstances. After dialog with WMR, it
was decided that MTM should get out of the equipment business due to
inability to maintain it or move it around from race to race. Detroit
Region is fully equipped, GingerMan and is fully equipped, and any Region
using that track is in good shape, so that left WMR with no equipment and
to sell to them made sense. Gordy Ensing is working with Wayne Rogers, WMR
RE on the price, which will be around $1000.

INR
National was great for workers
Those who missed
that event (INR National) missed an event where the organizers not only
SAY they appreciate the workers, they show it. INR had plenty of great
food, both days for lunch and Saturday dinner party. Freebies for the
workers. If a worker needed something, BANG! It happened. I guess that's
what happens when you have an event chair who is enthusiastic about
putting on an event that the participants (all the participants, from
workers to drivers to crew) will enjoy!
